DIY WORKSHOP: TEXTILES & ELECTRONICS

This workshops combines textile crafts, new materials and electronics to build interactive fabrics. Participants will be introduced to a range of conductive fabrics and threads as well as a selection of electronic components that include LED lights and vibration motors.
You will learn how to make a variety of textile sensors and connect these to an LED light or a vibration motor, using the varying resistance of the sensor to dim and brighten the light or vary the vibration intensity of the motor.
* No prior knowledge or experience with textiles or electronics necessary
* Come prepared to experiment and learn
* Bring any of your own materials and tools that you might want to incorporate in this process
All the materials and tools required for the workshop are provided and included into the price. But feel free to bring extra fabric or decorative elements with you if you want to further customize your creation.

The workshop will be held by Hannah Perner-Wilson, experienced in crafting and hacking electronics using a range of materials and craft techniques.
