Finding the right revenue model for your business is tricky. All startups face this challenge. This course will help you avoid some of the worst mistakes internet companies have made before you and help you find the best monetization approach for your web business. The course is broad enough to be valuable for startup founders as well as designers and developers.
Working with a business model canvas is a popular and essential item in the toolbox of all entrepreneurs. What the canvas does not do, however, is tell you about the problems and advantages associated with the seven most common web-based business models. This course is an entertaining and stimulating journey through the seven business models of the web. It also highlights essential background associated with internet monetization, including the long tail and the free economy.
Beginner and Intermediate.
Niko Waesche is a 15-year internet veteran – with lots of scars and bruises. He launched, invested in, consulted and outsourced many businesses. Niko currently co-runs GMPVC, a media-for-equity advertising fund he founded, which helps entrepreneurs finance break-through advertising campaigns. GMPVC has eight portfolio companies, including Twago, JustBook, URBANARA and 9Flats. Niko also is a Venture Partner at hub:raum, Deutsche Telekom’s seed investment program. Niko’s latest book, co-written with two friends, is SimplySeven.
