DIY WORKSHOP: MAKE A HANGLOAD (AWESOME BIKE RACK)

Organized by Elizaveta Barsegova

Dez 11th // 06:30 pm - 09:30 pm

Your lap top bag doesn`t squeeze into the bicycle basket? You are still riding a bike with a backpack on your shoulders? Or, moreover, you do food shopping once a week with a car, since there`s just no place on the bike for all that stuff?!

Within this workshop you will build a HangLoad - bicycle panels, the simplest way to carry all sorts of bags and loads on a bicycle rear rack easily. Your bike is still perfectly stable with that. When not in use, you could just press it vertically flat and slimline against the bicycle.

At the workshop participants will make their own aluminum framed HangLoad. This will involve using a bending board, drilling, riveting and some sawing and filing. But don`t worry, you could do it even if you are an absolute beginner and don`t know any of this words. :) The panel frames will then be covered with waterproof sheets which can be customized and decorated to individual tastes.
All materials are included. As a nice addition you will also learn how to make a Box-cut versions – same awesome stuff, but out of carton. (Yes, it works in the rain! :) )

The workshop will be held in english by Darius Hajiani, the original designer of the HangLoad.
See you there!
