Validero
16:00 – 17:00 Inno Space 1

Talks

Mind MattersTobias Adam
12:30 – 13:00 Arena
Internet Startups are companies where ideas and business models get validated and so they are a perfect example of organizations that profit a lot from agile software development. But, as always, you won’t get these advantages for free. Beyond the buzzword promises: What does acting agile really mean for the people involved? The aim of this talk is not to convince you of agile software development, but to share it with those who decided to give it a try. The experience we made over the years will hopefully prevent them from falling into the most common traps. I’d like you to take away that agile software development demands for a lot of discipline and responsibility but will reward you with results that are in time and provide real value. I’m working as a software developer at mindmatters in Hamburg and like to speak of myself as an (aspiring) software craftsman. It’s part of our main business to develop software for startups that are in their early evaluating stage and to help them sharpening their product. Of course, we do all this in a truly agile manner. www.mindmatters.de

Diego Agulló Performer, Videoartist
17:00 – 17:30 Arena
Diego Agulló will talk about Outsiders, thiefs and lovers. “The source material was my motivation to disagree with the negative connotations from the common use of the word dilettantism. This text aims to break with the opinion that the term is pejorative. It attempt to create a land space of concepts that allows another approach to dilettantism. In other words, this text can be considered as a test to find out what is specific to the condition of dilettante. I think it is crucial to reconsider the relationship between dilettantism and professionalism and I see the concept of freelance as the keyword that will help to characterize a new vision on the perception of dilettantism. A freelance dilettante as a pirate, half-warrior half-lover. I invite to follow a game of associations, introducing concepts between each other and finding commonality sketching a promiscuous scope of meaning where words relate to each other in a love affaire/friendship.” www.diegoagullo.com
